*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

What happened? And by the way, NIN Hurt is playing on XM Lucy right now.

Isn't it Ironic?

This thread has gotten crazy! LOL. I looked up James Saito and when I showed KC he FREAKED out because of this:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) .... The Shredder / Oroko Saki
... aka Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie (USA: long title)

:lmao: :lmao:

SO Jordan you just wons erious cool points from KC (not that u needed them of course!)

Big plans for tonight?

I was out all night. It's so nice to be home.

Yesterday, I was grocery shopping, and Faith came on in the grocery store. I about died. All I could think of was my DIS friend, Jen.:lmao:

:lmao: Don't you just love George?

Hey Jen...

2 WEEKS!!!

OMG!!!!

I woke up today completely out of it (thanks to a bottle of champagne and some GG) and didn't realize that we are sooooo close!!!

At this time in 2 weeks, I'll be on a plane getting ready to land at noon!!!!

:cheer2:  :cool1: :cheer2:  :cool1: :cheer2:  :cool1:

Now that Susan reminded me Disney is only 2 weeks away, I thought I'd check the 15 day forecast. Well, as of right now, here's the weather for arrival day:

Sat, Aug 9
More sun than clouds. Warm. High 93°F Low 75°F 70% Humidity (Can we say bad hair day!) 30% chance of rain (Who cares!!! We're in Disney. Break out the ponchos!)

I don't think you will be disappointed by either of them!

How long are you staying again?

8 Days. We arrive on Saturday, August 9th for one night at the Contemporary. Then we move over to the Poly from August 10th-16th.
Our flight lands at noon on the 9th. We're not doing any of the parks, but will probably explore the CR and DTD. On the 16th, we have a 8:00 p.m. That gives us all morning and afternoon to hit our favorites one more time.

Have you ever been to Disney for F&W? I'd love to go, but not with kids.

That's a good length for a visit.

We have never done Food and Wine before, but I am dying to do it! I am currently debating going with just Charles in October for our fall break weekend.

That would be a great weekend getaway. You'll get to visit all of the different booths, taste the food and wine. Yum!

Does fall break weekend fall around Columbus day?

Yep! Which means it will be as crowded as all get-out! I let my touringplans subscription lapse, so I can't access the crowd calendars for that Saturday and Sunday to see just how crowded. Oh well.

Word of advice - ignore all weather forecasts. :lmao:

EVERY morning, our wakeup call at the Dolphin gave the weather forecast for RAIN. Sure, we had a few Florida afternoon showers, but we did not have "RAIN". (except one afternoon might have been considered hurricane level winds & showers. )

I think you just pack your ponchos and go with the flow! If I had listened to the "forecast" we would have missed two WONDERFUL water park mornings. :yay:

Hmmm it'll be crowded. But isn't it after Free Dining? I imagine that period to be a nightmare!

You have a point. Forecasts are not always so accurate.

Our ponchos are ready to go. A little rain won't stop us. Plus, maybe the parks will empty out. Wishful thinking, I know!
