As many of you know, Voldemort is not a Disney fan. He has no interest in going to WDW until he has children. But he is obsessed with the Muppets. So obsessed that he sends me YouTube clips of the Muppets, in particular Fozzie Bear. So obsessed that he spent 20 minutes talking to and cuddling with the Fozzie Bear plush I brought him last weekend. That's right, I was ignored for Fozzie.

Last night, I started to put Operation Muppets into action. We were talking about a Pigs in Space skit where Fozzie dresses up as Miss Piggy. I just happened to mention that there's a whole section (I didn't mention it was just one attraction) devoted to all things Muppets. I told him I'd get a big Fozzie for him to go with his little one. Well, he asked that I get DIFFERENT Muppets for him. He wants the whole cast, including Dr. Teeth. Voldy wants a Gonzo, Rawlf, and Animal. Apparently, he and his friends have taken on different ones as their alter egos. Yes DISers, I'm talking about men in their 30s. Some of whom are FDNY paramedics. That's right. These grown men discuss Gonzo and Professor Bunsen Honeydew in between 911 calls.

Of course, I agreed to get as many Muppets as I can find. Now, I'm hoping there's a large variety. Since I'm not a huge DHS fan, I never really bothered to look.

Once he gets to play with his Muppets, he won't be able to resist Disney

Does he know there is going to be a new Muppet special with all the Muppets and the stars of the Disney Channel series August 3rd at 8:00pm 9 (on the Disney Channel)? Chelsea was showing me the commercial for it today and I thought of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!

Does anyone know if Chewbacca is out at DHS? Or does he only come out for pics and signing autographs during Star Wars Weekends?

I need to take a pic with Chewy and frame it for Voldy. Voldy's roommate back in the day (1997) had a girlfriend that all of his friends called Chewbacca. Needless to say, she did not wax. Not for canasta or any other reason. From what I remember, she could have won the Tom Selleck Mustache Contest.

Has anyone ordered from 1-800-Flowers? I sent a balloon arrangement to Voldy and ordered online. Since I got to type the card's message in the privacy of my own home and didn't have to dictate it to someone over the phone, it was uhmmm very creative. I thought the florist in Westchester would just print out the card, attach it to the balloons, and NEVER read the message.

Not so! The florist actually HANDWROTE the entire note. And since Voldy works nights and doesn't live in the kind of neighborhood where gangstas roll up and swipe things from your porch, I instructed the florist to just leave the balloons out front. He'd get them when he woke up. Much to my horror, his roommate (they met in the Marines) brought the balloons up to a groggy Voldemort. Being the lazy leo that he is, Voldy asked Mr. Marine to read the card Let's just say his friends think we should get married ASAP.

Oh and Voldemort says he's glad he didn't answer the door. He didn't want the delivery person to see the receiver of said card.

Lesson learned: Be careful what you put in writing. You never know who the audience will be.

Not sure about Chewy, but someone posted a POTD of the original actor signing autographs over on the POTD board about 10 pages or so ago. An interesting looking fella.
