I had pretty severe allergic reactions that landed me in the ER a couple of years ago. I have severe environmental allergies that have been controlled with shots, Zyrtec, and sinus surgery. But this reaction was different. My eyes swelled and I couldn't breathe. Well, my ENT tested a bunch of foods. I'm allergic to mango and carrots, but am sensitive to about 20 other things. Some things set it off, but it's hard to tell. The docs have a hard time pinpointing exactly what's causing the anaphylaxis so I have to carry the Epipen. If I can't breathe, I have to stab myself in the leg with it and call an ambulance. I'm hoping that won't happen at Disney

I have bad anxiety anytime I fly so I am going to get a prescription for Ambien for that 5 hr flight to LAX. It's good stuff. I had it when I was getting induced with DD...eventhough I started to hallucinate....it's that good good.

The hospital give me Ambien when I was in labor and I hallucinated too. I slept only for an hour and had nightmares the whole time. I will never take Ambien again.

That's why I like the xanax. Just takes the edge off and keeps me calm.

If that's the case, I need to convince my doc that I may go ballistic at the airport.

OMG! Wait til I tell DH! I slept after I hallucinated for about two hours. My DH was nervous! He did not know what the heck was going on! We can laugh now, but I felt as if the nurses and the doctors were trying to cut my stomach to steal my baby! Hot mess! But my friend just returned from Costa Rica and her Doc gave her Ambien for the 8 hour flight and she said the Flight Attendants had to shake her. She woke up thinking that they hadn't left Atlanta. I knew somebody else that took it and they did not hallucinate either. I told DH last night that I was going to take it for the Cali trip and he said some four letter words and said No. But I need something to relax on the flight!
