chipolte - what are your favorites?

For those who have the cilantro taste problem, do you have the same problem with other like herbs such as curly or italian parsley?
When I first tried cilantro, I couldn't stand it. It's taken me a while to get used to it, now I love it. I can't say the same for either type of parsley. They both taste like strong grass clippings to me.

Italian parsley tastes like parsley to me (well, I assume what parsley tastes like to everyone, heh), just plain, fresh and "green" tasting, tiny bit herby. Tastes fine. It's just cilantro, no other herb I've run into.

Cornflake -

I have the cilantro thing, too (nasty, vile, evil stuff...) and I always just ask for plain rice. They usually have a pan full of it that they can unwrap and dip into for you. Then I get the fajita veggies, a meat, lettuce and cheese. I get mine in a bowl, because as someone said earlier, the wraps are calorie bombs.

MMMM.

I guess I have the cilantro thing too - I thought it tasted like lead for everyone but that some people liked that! Doesn't stop me from eating it, though, I've acquired the taste.

I've ordered online before, it was so amazing. I loved it!! Normally we just go because we tend to eat there on the weekend, this time I was ordering for work so I asked my co-workers what they wanted as I was ordering it. Got there, picked it up and headed back. It was great to skip the huge line they have at lunch time, especially since Chipotle is at least 15 min away and we really only have a 30 min lunch. Luckily my boss is OK if I take a few minutes extra, probably because he knows I'm going to make it up. :)

It's not an issue with them, specifically. I've never tried their stuff because of the cilantro.

It's a genetic issue where some people can taste an enzyme in the stuff most can't - like the paper test in high school chem, where you put a piece of paper on your tongue and most people taste nothing but paper, and a few tasted a horrible bitter thing.

I - and I'd guess Prose as well - can tell if a bit is hiding, blended into salsa, because it tastes like dish soap salsa. It's just overpowering soap. Whatever the enzyme in it is that does it, it's inescapable.

I am aware of that, b/c i have it too. And was, in fact, happy when it became more widely known b/c people always looked at me crazy when I claimed it was a burst of awful in my mouth. But what I'm saying is..I just don't get this with the cilantro at Chipotle :confused3 Now and again I will encounter a larger piece of raw cilantro in the pico that works its "magic", but generally it's not perceivable for me there.
