No we didn't get a gift!

So sorry you were poorly, I'm sure a certain amount of that is expected but it doesn't sound like the stress of your family's arrival on Boxing day and the little falling out episodes here and there didnt help

I'm pleased you got a good balloon flight for your birthday. We went up in 2005 and it sounds like we had a similar experience to Joh. There was no wind whatsoever and we ended up landing about half a mile from where we had took off from an hour earlier. Having since been on Characters in Flight I can say it was pretty similar - just more expensive

just catching up on it all, wow poor you!! My two sides of the family dont get on at all and yes combined with a wedding is definitely enough to make you ill. However i am so happy you got to enjoy your balloon ride and i cant wait to read all the details of the big day itself, fingers crossed things are going to improve a lot

I'm so sorry you've been so ill and also that your Dad hasn't been too pleasant, there is no way I could go on holiday with my divorced parents, it was bad enough at my UK wedding
