Chilly's Golden Triangle Roadtrip (with not a lot of road) Day 2 Chill Out/Night Out

I wake up with a headache, not the best start to the day, so I try to sleep it off. Once up we head for brunch and I finally get my EoS. On the way we found Dizzy, seemed he'd been up all nights on the slots!

Next up we head into the shopping centre attached to the hotel to have a look a round, its called the Miracle Mile and it was really nice, sadly the Pandora shop had not yet opened but it was ok as I knew where there was another! Along the way we saw a little fountain show, then had a quick look outside to see how hot it was then back through the casino to our room.

Back in our room we get changed and head to the pool. The pool area was quite disappointing, very plain, on our previous trip I'd seen some of the other hotel pools and they are much better. It was hot enough to sit out but the pool was too cold to go in. I write up my trip notes and then some postcards. We move to some new sunbeds as the sun has moved and we are now in the shade, I read my book, and can feel the sun revitalising me as work had been pretty full on before I went.

Back at our room we got ready for our night, we had to be ready by 4:30pm, we arrived at our friend's room 10 mins late but they weren't ready yet either. We finally left about 40 minutes late and headed for the Mirage hotel were one of our friends had picked out a restaurant for us to eat at. It was called Samba, it was a bit like Ohana with meat on skewers, it had a lot more meat options but not the other items you get at Ohana like noodles. The food was really nice esp the sirloin steak. The bill comes to over $700 with tip. We grad some taxi's over to the Stratosphere, we arrive about 30 minutes late but the bride and groom arrive just after us so I don't feel bad. We get the lift up but get out on the wrong floor and spend ages looking for our friends. We are over 100 floors up and the view is wonderful.

I get a cocktail but its not nice and at $15 not cheap, I see if any of the other girls like it but no one does, the waitress notices and puts some cranberry juice in for me. The brides cousin who lives in Vegas gives us a great tip, she told us you can order any cocktail you want even if its not on the menu and they will make it for you. Most of the men go on the rides on top of the hotel but the ladies stay inside. The groom kindly picks up the bar tab as a thank you for travelling to Vegas. We headed back downstairs and grab some taxis to the New York New York hotel and head into the club there, it was free entry for girls and free champagne until midnight. The music is not great but we have a bit of a dance before walking back to our hotel.

I miss EoS! Great day, love the ceiling in the shopping mall, surprised at the prices though as I always thought Vegas was really cheap but obv not!

Coyote Ugly is one of my favourite films... didn't realise there was a club too. Did they dance on the bar?

I didn't go inside sadly, I wanted to but being in a big group is tricky and I wasn't in charge! I think they do though.
