child's ticket (child now 14)

Last time we went my DD qualified for the child's ticket. She will be 14 when we go but has one day left on the old ticket.

I recently read "The current rule is that a child's hopper pass with days remaining will be converted to an adult pass with the same number of days at no charge, if necessary on your child's next visit. Never pay for an upgrade from child to adult based on today's adult ticket "

Is this still the policy?

Yes that is still the policy. You must go to guest relations at the major parks, the child must be with you and the dates must make sense. It took us about 5 minutes at the WS entrance of Epcot last year with a friend and her 12 yo son who was 8 when his ticket was last used.

If your child is only 14 now, I dont think anyone would really question you using the child's ticket up. I really dont think you would necessarily have to go get a new one. Just ask someone at the TTC, and I bet they'll just let you use that one up.

I can tell you from personnal experience-we've done it! My DS was eligible for a child's ticket in 1989, 6 yo. Just before we went in 2003, we found the ticket, but he was now a 5'9", 20 yo. Epcot and MGM didn't blink when he went in with it.
