Childs multiday pass question

We last visited Disney 2 years ago, we purchased 5 day passes for the family (2 adults, 2 kids). We have one day left on the passes. One of my kids is now older than the kids ticket states the tickets are good for. How does disney hanlde a pass that does not expire, but a kid who is now 12 years old?

The pass will be upgraded to an adult ticket at no charge. My DD has one day left on her child's pass and she'll be 28!
