My children don't eat much at all. I can't afford to go to buffets that charge $19 - 22.00 per adult. Since WDW sees a 10 & 12 year old as adults, do I really have to order the adult buffet for both of them? Won't the server understand and charge as for 2 children @($9.00)??? When I make the reservation, I guess I have to be truthful and tell them the correct ages?? We will not be able to go to these dinners if this is the case. What do you think??
Thanks:p

MHO.....
.if they don't meet the age requirement, you pay the adult price....or go with a different dining option.
How can they tell who eats enough to qualify? That's way too subjective to be affective.
My DD doesn't eat a lot either. She never gets the money's worth for a buffet, so we either don't do them or go to the character ones for the entertainment.

Most of the ages for the buffets and/or child menus are 3-12 anyway so you should be okay.

Actually most of the buffets are 3-11....so you're a-go one one at least. That should help some :)

Disney seems to be confussed when it comes to when child becomes an adult

Admission 10 & up are adults
Restaurants 12 & up are adults
Hotels 18 & up are adults

In any restaurant that is not a buffet or one price meal your 12yo can order of the childrens menu, just as any other adult can. But in buffets and other one price you are stuck paying the adult price.
