Ok, I have poured over these threads for a few months now. I have read all the menu's at Deb Wills site. Here's my dilema. We have purchased the dining plan for our upcoming trip. My princess: just turned 9, (thinks she's a teenager :rolleyes1 ) and so is on the child's meal plan. The problem is, she eats very well, and LOVES hamburgers. Most of the child's menu's are rediculous for a 9 y/o. Chilled chicken? My DD would NEVER eat chilled chicken. I read somewhere on these boards, (can't find it now) that all the CS credits were pooled and one family split up in two lines, with one parent ordering 2 adult meals so their child could eat a hamburger meal. I think it was at Pecos Bill. Are the credits pooled? :confused3 Some of the restaurants we've chosen have decent children's menu's, like chicken legs, but almost none of them offer hamburgers or pizza for kids. Come on, with older kids, you need some decent variety, and eating off mom and dad's plates won't do :eek. Some of the counter service restaurants on Deb Wills site do not show a children's menu. Does that mean my DD can order from the adult menu? Lots of questions here. Any help would be much appreciated. ::MickeyMo

The credits are pooled.I ordered adult counter service meals for my DD6 when she wanted them.Plus she shared with DD1.

That's relieves my mind! Did you have any problems when ordering? I was wondering if they would ask how old my DD is.

we never had any problem w/ordering regular meals at CS locations for ds/8... i would just go up w/one of the kids to help me carry and order four meals... no age questions asked... and it's a good thing 'cause my ds is a double cheeseburger kinda kid! LOL!

also, when he went to the foodcourt to order his own breakfast, he told the cm he wanted pancakes and sausage and she asked him if he wanted 1 (kids size) or 3 (full portion) pancakes... he said 3 and no questions asked again...

truly, it's nothing to worry about...

also, at most TS restaurants we were asked how many/if any children's menus we wanted... ds was offered the choice by at least one server of an adult meal and more than once scored an adult appy (we were not trying to "work the system" just inquired if he could get it and there was no hesitation 'cept at le cellier)... dd/10 sometimes opted for the adult appy/dessert and the child's meal and that was never a problem either!

So a child couldn't order an adult appetizer at Le Cellier? I don't really care, but it seems so inconsistant because I've read many reviews here lately and everyone says Le Cellier is one place where they tell you kids can order an adult appetizer. I guess it probably just depends on your server or maybe they stopped it at the same time as allowing smoothies as your beverage? Jennifer

correct... my ds could not order an appy at le cellier because he was ordering from the children's menu, and was limited in what desserts he could order (children's only) all of which he was unable to have due to food allergies, so we had to buy him an ice pop after we left... but if he were ordering from the adult menu ('cause no one ever asked his age and he's a very big boy for his age, oftentimes being mistaken for an 11 or 12 yo) he could have had the whole nine yards... go figure!

It may depend on the server.Last Wednesday my DD6 ordered an adult appy an entree off the kid's menu and a child dessert. She was told to order off the adult appy list. She had shrimp coctail and loved it.

well, that just makes our "only mediocre" meal (mainly due to service) at le cellier drop another half a notch ;)

Now I have even more questions. For the dining plan we have 2 adults and 1 child for 5 days so 15 CS meals between the 3 of us for our lunches. I thought it was 10 adult meals and 5 childs meals. If I order 3 adult meals the first day, wont that leave me short an adult meal on the end?
Or is it just 15 CS credits regarless of adult or child?
But cant they tell because I purchase the dining plan for 2 adults and 1 child?

Now I am more confused about the dining plan. :rotfl:

all the credits are the same... yes, they cost different amounts, but once you get them they are all created equal... there is no differentiating between adult and child once they are encoded onto your card...
