wow that is really strange..i was able to order them this time but when i spoke to a rep she said they were all out of them..yes it's back ordered but that's fine..if anything they can be given at Easter time instead of Christmas..

Put in your zip code on the item page and see if your local store has them in stock. Mine does and the girl I talked to said to bring in the printout and her manager may be able to match the online price. For $9.99 it's worth a try.

My DS will love this! We're leaving for Disney in 18 days so it may have to be an early Christmas present.

I tried this with 2 store managers, well they had the internet page looking at the same thing I was showing the $9.99 price, and they said there was no way they could price match it since it was a cyber monday special that they extended til today..i was told by a rep on the phone as well that the store may be able to price match it but the store managers refused to do it..so hopefully u'll have better luck than I have..

Our stores matched the price, so hubby went and picked one up. I have to say, I don't think it's even going to be worth $10. It seems very flimsy, made of plastic. Yes, I know it was only $10, but I think I will be returning mine. I can't believe this would have been $70. Very bummed!

I think some of Penny's prices may be well inflated. I say this because on BF I saw an item there that was on DS11 Christmas Wish List. The sign indicated it was normally a $40 item but for the specific BF early hours it was $17.99. Great savings! I almost bought it because of the huge savings. I'm glad I didn't.

Later that day I went over to Wal-Mart and their everyday price on that exact same item is $17.99.

Having said that, $9.99 for a kids camera, if they get a few uses from it, it makes them happy ...

I ordered one online on backorder (as mentioned earlier) and I also saw they were in stock in our local store so I went to check them out. Yes, it's plastic and there's no brand name that I could see but I think it will survive a little while in the hands of the munchkins. For $8 I don't care if it only lasts a month! It does take a lot of batteries, though, so rechargables may be in order.

Our store had a lot of them on the shelf for $39.99 and they would not budge on the price, even though they acknowledged it was the same thing on their website for $30 less. Ah well. It was worth a shot!

I live in TX and I was able to pick 4 camcorders up and they are small, but I purchased them for a 6 and 7 year old.

This morning, just out of curiousity, I went to the JCP website to look at the status of my order and now it states that it is on backorder until 12/21. I never received an email regarding the change in ship date. Just giving everyone who ordered a heads up that they could change the ship date without letting you know. I only hope it gets here before Christmas (or that it doesn't get cancelled).

Mine now says backorder to 12-20. I really don't care if it comes before Christmas or after, either way I will give it to the girls to make their own movies. Altho it would be a great Christmas gift for them they will appreciate it no matter what.
