I though I read somewhere about a "Its' my birthday" button or hat or something for children (and adults too, I guess!) to wear at WDW.
Where can I purchase one of these, and does the bday child get anything special, or just some extra attention, when wearing it?
Thanks!!!

You can pick up a Birthday Pin at Guest Relations in any of the theme parks. It is free. It doesn't really get you anything other than some extra attention by CMs and other folks who notice it.

Some people have indicated they have gotten a lot of attention wearing one, while others have gotten nothing.

I recently took my DD to MK on her 18th birthday. She was wearing a pin. We went to lunch at one of the sit down restaurants. The hostess noticed the pin. At the end of our meal, she brought out a cupcake with a candle for DD and had people in the restaurant sing Happy Birthday. It was very nice. However, it is not a sure thing.

celebrated both DS (10) and DD (8 May 20th) b'days. They got the pins at each park we went to. A couple of meals they got the cupcakes and special Happy Birthday signed placemates.

My son got so tired of hearing Happy Birthday from EVERYONE (CM's and perfect strangers alike) he finally had to take it off. It was kind of funny. LOL
I'm not sure he'll ever hear Happy Birthday the same way again.
