Just incase anyone hadn't heard. I just found out tonight, but don't toss the bottles just yet. I heard if you give them the info off the bottles, they will send you reimbursement coupons. We had 6 recalled bottles in our house

I had 6, too. Took them all back to the local CVS and they gave me a full refund.

Thanks, I have two bottles. It looks like you can email them for a coupon for free replacement or a check for the average retail price.

We bought our from Walgreen's. I wonder if they will take them back without the receipt or if I need to file with McNeil instead.

Wow, thanks for posting. I had four bottles. Luckily they weren't recalled because of a medical problem because two of mine are half empty , I've had some sickly kids the past couple weeks.

I've got 2 sealed bottles of motrin (with bonus 2oz size attatched) and one opened bottle of motrin, as well as one opened bottle of tylenol. Not sure if I should try and take them back to CVS- I have no receipt by now as I bought them when they had a special- or send in for the refund. Did the drugstores give you any problem when you brought them back?

Nope. I had the same thing, but they weren't sealed anymore (my 2 4oz. bottles were both almost half empty). The 2oz bottles were still in the boxes and the cashier actually tore the sticker off the UPC code on the box and refunded that money too- $5.99. Even though it was free to begin with. I think I got $7.79 for the bigger bottles and $5.99 for each of the little 2oz. ones.

(I got mine during that buy $20 get $10 ECB back- is that the special you're referring to? )

Thanks for the heads up! I had a bottle of the Tylenol suspension AND a bottle of the Tylenol Plus that I just bought on Tuesday. So frustrating, but at least I know. I also posted this on my FB page and had three moms comment that they had some of these too.

I tried calling the McNeil # and after listening to about 10 minutes of auto speech, it disconnected me saying it was too busy! I signed up for a call back on the website, but haven't heard back, who knows how long that will take. Hoping the stores have some tylenol that;s not recalled, as all of ours was affected and I hate to have none.

Yep! I was pretty excited, I'd prefer not to mess with the McNeil people, too. DS is teething so I needed something to be able to give him on those miserable days.

CVS's wasn't recalled and they had packs of "Buy 1 get 100% free!" back by the pharmacy- I bought that!

I am once again so thankful for Disboards! My son is pretty sick right now with strep, a nasty rash and the latest Dr. diagnosis is Mono. We have been giving him Motrin and Benedryl all weekend as instructed by the Hospital. My Motrin was listed in the recall but since I am in Canada the Benedryl was not. I just called and double checked and they said the Benedryl comes from different plants for Canada. I too listened to the message for like ten minutes but then got through to a rep. From reading posts I guess I got lucky. I am not so sure I want to continue with the benedryl tonight just incase I wake up in the morning and low and behold there is an addition to the recall. I think as long as ds doesn't get worse I may abstain til tommorow when I can talk with my Pediatrician. These things always seem to happen on the weekend.

I was honest the CVS cashier and told them I wasn't sure where I bought mine and she said they it was fine b/c they are reimbursed for the retail amount.
