Everytime I try to go on the USA Childrens Place website I am been redirected to the Canadians ones. I was wondering if anyone here had the same issue and how I should resolve it. I think it's great that a canadian website is up n running but I still much prefer to purchase from the usa website as the price and sale are way more cheaper...

Thanks

It varies with store to store. Just checked the fine print concerning their online stores. If you go to the bottom of their website and click on the link About Us, they state that the childrensplace.com website is for use by customers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, the childrensplace.ca website is for use by customers in Canada. A lot of U.S.-based companies simply don't want to deal with all the rules, and the taxes, for shipping merchandise to Canada. Their choice. You have to use the Canadian website. If it makes you feel any better, their Canadian website only delivers to Canada.

Many US online stores will not let you order with a credit card that has a Canadian address (whether the card is Canadian or US)

Very true, but they accept Paypal. I have any shipments dropped to my brother's box in Niagara Falls. Works well for us.

That's terrible:confused3 I usually ship my items to a UPS store, Ogdensburgh, NY which is closer to me and never encounter any issues with using my credit card. When you browse on old navy, gap and the like you have the choice to either continue on the US website or the Canadian one. I just don't like being "forced" to purchase through the Canadian website... I even wrote them to let them know my issue, they got back to me with some sorry-will-try-to-fix-it... yeah, yeah, whatever:rolleyes1

You could contact them and see if you can see if they can fix this. I know I purchase items from sites in other country's for my nieces birthday and Christmas.

You may need to go through a proxy server. (This is what kids use to bypass the Facebook-blocking security settings on school computers! I've used them to get access to U.S. public television shows/videos that aren't licensed for showing in Canada). That won't help if they won't accept a credit card with Canadian billing address, though.

Be careful about downloading software to get on a free proxy server.
Often full of spyware and other bad stuff.
