Is it just me or are the children's menu's for Disney Boring? My ds doesn't eat mac cheese and dd only eats it if home made. They don't like hot dogs and will get fed up of chicken and chips. I'm looking at things like chicken noodle soup and chicken with pots and veg as they love things like that. I just feel we may be in for a hard time food wise as they don't like what is standard on American menu's.

One of the great things about the USA is that if you don't like whats on the menu, many places will cook up something you like.
You can order off the adults menu for the kids and get them to reduce the portions. Plus they also have lots of fruit available.
But it is a foreign counmtry so it will be different than home. I am sure you will find things on the menu's as there is a much greater choice than in the UK. Whilst some of the WDW food courts do have the same hot dogs, mac & cheese etc, there is a great choice of restaraunts in the world, pizzas, fish, chicken, meat etc etc.

My DD doesn't get bored of it, but I do worry abotu her living on the same meals every day, she is only just reading books at school and so we can get away with telling her whats on the menu, so if we want her to choose fish over mac and cheese we will just say the childrens menu is fish!
Althought I can't see this working another trip lol
I know what you mean though... chicken nuggets, burger, mac and cheese, hot dog.

That is useful to know. I don't have kids yet, but when I do they wont be living off of junk food... Good to know that it is possible to get around the junk that they have on the children's menu...

I thought the children's menus were terrible one reason I wouldn't do the dinning plan again! One good thing about the dinning plan though was that you get so much food it was easy to share with DD so she did get a bit of variety that way.

We weren't impressed with the Disney childrens menus at all. Mostly we bought 2 - 3 adult portions and shared them between the 4 of us. The mac and cheese was really disgusting. Sunshine Seasons at Epcot did kids' portions of most of their freshly made food, and Le Cellier did a great child's steak, it was the same size as mine!! There are some good choices but you have to hunt around for them!

We found that our kids needed "proper food" and found that the Chain "Perkins" done a nice Turkey Dinner but Adults Portions only, so we would order 1 adult portion with Extra sides of Veg (which shocked the waitress and the cook apparently) and asked for an extra plate, for some reason they couldn't divide in the kitchen but were happy for us to do it at the table.... One good thing about a Villa, is you can occasionally cook a healthy kids meal.....if you so wish failing that Perkins here we come!:goodvibes
