If you have children on the
DDP under the age of 10, you must order from the children's menu if available -- the kids' DDP is only $10 a day instead of $38 a day, so of course the selections will not be as varied or interesting and the portions will not be as large as the adult menus. But in a year or two it will cost a LOT more to have them on the DDP as 10 year old "adults", so enjoy the price break while you can!

Not all the kids' selections are chicken fingers and mac and cheese, check out the most recent menus online -- you may be surprised. TS dinners at buffets or AYCE places are an excellent idea because your child will have all the same choices as an adult and can eat as much as they want. At standard TS restaurants, you could order their kids' meal, then if it's not enough for them, order them an appetizer OOP as well, or share some of your own meal with them if it's large enough.
As far as CS, here are some ideas:
~ Go to a CS that does not have a kids' menu and your child can order anything an adult can:
Catalina Eddie
Taluca Turkey Legs
Cool Wash Pizza
Casey's
Pete's Doggone Good dogs
Pizza Planet
Sommerfest
Yorkshire County Fish Shop
Main Street Bakery
~ Order your child their kids' meal, order a large adult CS meal for yourself (like the chicken and ribs combo at Cosmic Ray's) and share some of your large meal with them
~ Order your child their kids' meal and buy them an extra item OOP
~ Order your child their kids' meal and use a snack credit to get them an extra item
~ Use their kid's CS credits for breakfast (which is often just smaller portions of the same items as adult breakfasts), and then pay OOP for their CS meals for lunch.
Hope some of those ideas work for you!
