Does anyone know if the Canadian WalMart has machines that make personalized dog tags? A few people mentioned using them to make i.d. tags for their kids. (And as much as dh doesn't want to entertain the possibility of one of our kids getting lost, I'd much rather be safe than sorry!)

but not here in Canada. Personally, I'm not all that keen on them. I don't like my kids having that much personal info on them. kwim? Plus, knowing my son, he'd lose it. lol
I saw another neat way to keep kids ID and it was in or on their shoes. Not sure if I saw it here or on TodaysParent.com.
I'm sure you could come up with something resourceful on your own.

I've been looking for the same thing for my grandkids. I know I can get tags at Pet Smart. All I want is something that I can put my cell phone number on and attach to their shoe laces. They're 10 and 11, so they won't need any more info on it than that.

Hmmm, that's too bad that our WalMart doesn't carry them. There were lots of great ideas on another thread but the dog tag on the shoes seemed like the least intrusive one and the one that my ds8 and dd6 would be least likely to remove/play with. I guess it's off to PetSmart I go!

Thanks for your help!:flower3:

those colourful key tags that you can get at the key cutter will work the same way. if your child is wearing bottoms with a belt loop it could go there.

Petcetera has a machine that makes the tags. You insert coins and it makes the tag right there.
