What do girls wear in the dining room on casual nights?
Would it be ok for them to wear a nice shorts outfit if they're planning to go to the Oceanears Club afterwards ? Seems crazy that they'd have to go back to the cabin to change. What about
semi- formal night clothes for little girls ( age 4 ) ?? Thanks !::MinnieMo

Let the children dress comfortably! After all, they are just children and it's their vacation too! Shorts is perfectly acceptable. ENJOY!

Rae, Thanks for your reply about the girls clothes.Having raised three boys, sometimes I'm not sure what my Granddaughter needs to wear.Since this is her first cruise, my dil wanted to know.

Also, I apologize if I offended you or anyone else on the DIS board about my comment of "not wanting to look like an idiot" when taking advice from these boards. I spend alot of time reading everyones threads, comments, etc. And I truly appreciate the help everyone gives ! Again, I hope everyone understands I was upset with the folks at DCL, esp. Constance, and sorry if I came on too strong with my DIS board friends !

Capris or those nice knit cotton play dresses with a cute pair of sandals (sp?) for casual night. Maybe even a skort outfit, which they could wear to the club. Semi formal - a dress that's a little fancier, maybe for church, a little ruffle, a collar.

Dressing my daughter is easy. She grows very slowly and gets lots of handme downs from friends. Her clothes are small and easy to pack. Last cruise I bought her this really cute yellow dress at a yard sale for 50 cents that was perfect for formal night.

And yes, my children went to the cabin to change before going to the kids club for the evening.

Last cruise my daughter was 2 1/2 so she wore a dress to dinner at night, now that she is 4 she will still be wearing a dress a couple nights but capris the other nights. I can easily run back to the cabin after dinner and change her if she wants to wear shorts since I also change right after dinner!

No one, especially not me, took offense to that. Hey, we understand completely about the misinformation and attitude we sometimes get from DCL reps - you just want to say, "Can't you guys get the information accurate?"

I got so fed up with DVC that I sold off all of my points! (Low boiling point???!!!!)

Just remember we understand and most often agree!!!!!!

Take care and enjoy!
