Has anyone used the Sandcastle Club or Lilo's Playhouse recently/within the past year or so? We are taking a large family trip and are considering using one of the children's activity centers one evening while the adults check out World Showcase. The kids are ages 8 and 4.

We used Lilo's right after they revamped the Children's Center programs. Not last summer but one before. Got a free night to test out the new format, and provide feedback.
DGD (7 at that time) loved it and we wouldn't hesitate to use it again if the situation arose and we needed it

Yes, my DS9 has been to Lilo's Playhouse and Sandcastle Club several times, the last time being last August. He absolutely loves them! I would pick the one that is most convenient for you. They both follow the same format of offering structured activities for the children who want to join in (science experiments, cooking classes, etc.) and other, more free-form activities for those who would rather chill (movies, video games, etc.). They both offer dinner and a snack, a theme each night and a character visit.

We've done lilos, simbas clubhouse and camp dolphin at The Dolphin hotel. We just did lilos this past October. My kids dd7 and ds4 love going here more than the parks. Just FYI at the dolphin you get 2 hours free if you eat in one of their signature restaurants. For each entree ordered, 1 child gets 2 hours. They'll give them dinner too at no additional charge. Then it's like $12 for each addition hour.
