Has anyone ever utilized one?

Pro's or con's?

FYI, this would be for my DD1 who will be 3.5 when we travel. She's a social little girl who loves playing with other kids!

We'd be using Simba's Cubhouse at AKL. :)

I haven't used any of the childcare centers at WDW, but I have heard good things. Here are a few threads from the past year that might be helpful; keep in mind that I believe they have re-structured the pricing/format recently to a flat fee (at least for some):

Enjoy your vacation!

We have used all of them except the S/D and Grand Floridian. Love them all! Simba's is one of my kids favorites...it's a relaxing vibe for them, and there is plenty to do.

Now, I will say, we have not used them since they switched format to the $55/flat fee and activities. But, we will be doing so in June.

My kids (6 and 4) went to one in Saratoga Springs while DH and I were talking to a DVC salesperson. The kids were there for a couple of hours and did NOT want to leave. They LOVED it. The next day they asked if they could go back there instead of to a park.

It was pretty neat- they were given snacks, had movies to watch, toys to play with, dress up, arts and crafts- they made super hero caps and masks. DD came out with a big bag of art projects to work on.

Awesome, those were super helpful threads. We plan on having an adult evening (dinner or the parks), and I know she'd want to do that over a babysitter in the room.

Trying to find out what the new format is--are they all flat fee and planned activities now? What is the time? Do you get AP discount (seems like you used to when it was hourly). We used them a few years ago and loved it. Considering it again for upcoming trip.

I just looked at it because we are considering this for a possible Dec trip. Milo's playhouse and the Sandcastle club were the 55$ deal, Simbas and Club Dolphin were still 15/hr min 2 hrs. This was the info on wdw's website. I would check when reserving.

I called and the CM didn't know what was what. I had decided on Sandcastle Club, but she did not know it was a flat fee for the whole time, and she made me select a time. Then she said the only time available was 4:30. :) But it was $55, paid in advance. AP gets 15% discount. Cancel day before for refund.

My daughters (3 and 5) adored it so much we are doing it again this time! It is $55 (but it was $17 per hour the last time and so this time it will be cheaper). They eat there and they get more than enough food and have a snack as well. We use Lilo's b/c we stay at Poly. My kids were still running strong after 4 hours.
