I've never gone to Disney with kids before. This trip it will be 6 adults and 1 child (2 years old). We have reservations at Ohana and Tusker House, where they have a set price for adults and kids from age 3-9. So what about kids under 3 - are they free? Do they get to eat everything that the rest of us eat at those restaurants?

No charge for kids under 3 at a fixed price restaurant and they can eat their fill.

I have also always been offered a drink for my kids under 3 for free as well. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the response! This is awesome to hear - I'm sure her parents will appreciate this. :)

Yep, your under 3 is included. That's why I prefer to do buffets right now because we don't have to worry about ordering for DD and there are lots of choices.

1) TECHNICALLY, "kids-under-3-do-not-eat-free".
. . . the policy does nto exist
. . . there is no brochure saying otherwise
. . . we keep asking for the quote, and no one can find it anywhere !
2) But, when done per policy, they eat almost free.
3) And, based upon CM discretion, they can eat free.
. . . usually the under 3-year-old gets away free
. . . but, the CM can charge for the kid's food/drink, if they want

4) The official rules:
. . . kids under three can eat off the adult's plate
. . . if they order anything , like milk, they are supposed to pay for it
. . . this is anywhere, including buffets
5) What really happens:
. . . at buffets, kids can get a plate, because who can catch them
. . . at buffets, adults could get the food, instead and give it to the kid
. . . at buffets, the adult could claim it is their plate kid eats from
. . . at buffets, they might as well have a drink, for same reason
. . . at buffets, it's tough to determine it was theirs or their parents
. . . at non-buffet, servers can determine if they ordered food
. . . at non-buffet, it is easy to tell if they got a drink
. . . at non-buffet, the server usually let's the drink go, but not food
. . . at non-buffet, the server has the right to charge for anything for the kid

6) So, to wrap-up, yes, kids under-3 do end up eating free.
7) At buffets, they can actually take food from the buffet table.
8) But, that is not the official policy.

My DD even got a free meal at the Princess dinner in Norway. I told the server she was under 3 and not on the dining plan. But they said she got an entree too.
