For the first time we'll be flying with young children when we bring DGDs to WDW for the first time. They're 3 yo and 1 1/2. Will we be asked for any ID/proof of age, etc. when we go thru the TSA checkpoint? I know we do, and we always have our drivers' liscences with us. But what about kids this age?

Unless they are lap children they do not need proof of age or id. If they are lap children you need to check with your airline about what they accept. Generally a birth certificate sometimes immunization records. The airline needs to check the is of a lap child not tsa. TSa may ask who is who but that's it

We were not asked for anything like that. For my own sanity, I brought a diy ID for my kids. One side was a copy of their birth certificate, the other side was a current color photo and I typed their name, age, weight, height, and our cell numbers. I kept those in my bag all the time. That is not required,I am just anxious and it made me feel better.

Kids under the age of 18 are not required to show ID of any kind. As a PP said only the airline will ask if a child is a lap baby.

On a related note, when TSA requires an ID it will only accept a government produced one: passport, drivers license, etc. It also will not look at doctor notes for medical conditions either. Too easily forged.
