I've posted this on the restaurants pages- but I thought you families out there may have some experience with kids these ages...
We've been to Liberty Tavern, Hollywood & Vines, Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Castle (not the character meal-just lunch), Donald's Breakfastsaurus, and the Brown Derby...
we are wanting to try new things but with so many to choose from would love to hear what you think two daughters (4,5) and one son (8) would like to go to. We have reservations for Hoopdedoo- but wonder if they'd get more fun out of 2 character meals for the price of the Hoop. We'll be there 7 nights and planning on 1 PS a day. Thanks for all your help!!

Our kids, then ages 5 and 7, *loved* Hoop Dee Doo and have been asking to go back. The character meals they like fine, but no where near the excitement they've shown for Hoop Dee Doo. I'd give it a try.

As for restaurants, if you have not tried the Sci Fi Dine In at MGM, I'd give that a shot. Our kids loved it and we're going back there on this trip.

I have 2 girls, but we're just doing princess character breakfasts next trip. For a couple of fun, non-character places, we plan on dinner @ 'Ohana & 50's Prime Time Cafe.

The crystal palace is really good if the kids like Pooh and friends, I think this was my dd's favorite.

Also the garden grill do an ice-cream social at 3pm, this is a great cheap way to meet the characters (cheap compared to a meal, not really cheap for ice-cream, but we had such a good time, we felt it was worth it), I think it's $7 each and you get a big ice-cream sundae and all the characters come around.

Our kids enjoyed the Hoop de Doo. They were 8, 3, and 3 when we went. If you stay in the Epcot area, the Cape May breakfast and the clam bake dinner are good. Beaches & Cream at the BC is great for kids meals and ice cream. I would also try Sci Fi at MGM.

Crystal Palace at MK
50's PTC & Sci Fi at MGM
Biergarten at Epcot
Whispering Canyon at WL

Another vote for ice cream social @ Garden Grill. I was going to say that and then noticed someone else already did! We're definitely going to do this. Not because I think it's a great bargain- it's not. But because I did it on my solo trip and I had a great time and I know the kids will too! The character interaction is more my style too- why? Because you are basically like "closed off" at your table -well, it moved so slowly around when I was there that I never got "exposed" to the entire building.LOL They spent more time with me and I was SOLO- so I can imagine they'll spend as much,if not more, with children/families! And I dunno... I kinda liked it being not quite as "on show for the world" when interacting with the characters. Less self-conscious about it in that situation I guess.
Anyway, it was fun and I think my kids will enjoy it (their ages are 2, 5, 9)
