I know children under 14 don't get their fingerprints taken at immigration. Do they get their photo taken? I'm travelling with friends who have never been to the US and I just want to let them know what to expect. Thanks.

On the CBP website there is somewhere (I haven't used it for ages) where you can click and they have video footage of what to expect going through security there. It was really great when DD was younger. The adult one is different so maybe prepare them for either. 14 is still considered a minor though so I doubt they would print them.
When/where do they take the pictures? I am really trying, but I don't recall. It is highly likely that it has been done but I honestly don't remember it on any trip. Is it at the point where they do your fingerprint before the carousel, at passport control?
Thanks for the info, I'll let my friends know as they have never been to the US before and their DS 11 will be really interested to know what is happening
