Children 10+ under the DDP

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question.

When I make an adr (and using the DDP) and my son is considered an adult in the DDP, would I count him in as an adult? So if it's 4 of us (My husband and I, and our two children (10 and 4), would I say that it's a party of 3adults and 1 child to ensure he receives the adult menu/choices?

I don't. They ask the kids ages anyway. So I say two adults, three children and then go on to specify the kids' ages as 11, 7 and 1. I don't think how you book the ADR makes any difference, though. I think Disney asks for the same reason they ask about how many times you've been and when your last trip was when you book a resort reservation - they want to know their guest demographics.

I didn't do any pre-paid ADRs, but they just wanted to know how many people for me...we have 4 adults and a 2 year old, it seemed totally irrelevant to them the age of the child..I said 4 adults and a 2 year old 5 times, and they would just say "table for 5"

All those times I made ADRs I never really thought of it until I realized that my son will be 10 before our next vacation and since he is considered an adult in terms of tickets, DDP, restaurants, I was wondering if I should specify that he would be considered as an adult.

But I see what you are all saying, I guess it doesn't really matter when I call if he's considered an adult (except for the prepaid ones), I know they ask at the podium when I check in. Silly question
