I was thinking it would be nice to try some adult time on our next trip, but I just realized that our son won't actually turn 4 until 2 days after our trip! He's been potty trained for 2 years and my DD will be 6 1/2. Our friend's children turn 6 and 4 the week before our trip.
How strict are they? Has anyone experienced this? I don't want to sound like I'm trying to do something bad, but  he's so much more mature than my friend's DD who will turn 4 exactly two weeks before him. I know that he would be fine there.

You should be fine. We haven't used the childcare, but our friends did on the last trip and they never asked for a birth certificate or anything. For a couple of days I don't think it will matter.

If you are talking about the kids clubs at the resorts, i would call and ask.You should be ok, but the age requirement is an insurance/childcare regulatory requirement.I think with only a few days shy of 4 yrs old you should be ok, but you would rather find out sooner rather than later.

Have you thought of hiring in room care? That is what we are doing this fall for my 3 DD's and 2 nieces.
