Our sweet grandson, age 6, was just disgnosed with OCD. :sad1:
We leave for Disney in 3 weeks.
Has anyone ever traveled to DIsney with an OCD child?
Will Disney overwhelm him in any way? (more than any 1st timer)
I am just starting to read up on this disease, but thought I'd seek advice here also.
Thanks in advance.

my DD 4 has OCD along with ODD, Oppoisitional Defience Disorder, an anxiety disorder, speech delay (which is getting better), with the OCD she has issues with certain things doors, light switches, many more. Here therapist just says to pick your battles, let the little things slide. We are going to WDW in April and I just know that I have to be prepared to deal with things that may come up. Your GS is most likely going to want structure so maybe you can make him a book with pictures of what he is going to do each day. And he can start getting comfortable with it now. He will most likely have a few problems but WDW is overwhelming for the first time. Just put asmile on your face and let him have some control over things. for example, mmy daughter has to choose her own clothes so what I do is pick two outfits for her to choose from and she feels like she has the control which is very important to them.
