Child under 2, do they count?

Do I need to count my DS, who will be under 2 years of age, in the reservation number? We would need a highchair/booster seat for him.

That's a good question. I've been counting my 2 year old in our dinner reservations. But she's under 3 and doesn't need a park ticket. (Right?) (At least every time I check, it says children under 3 don't need a ticket.)

When I made my reservation, I selected my DD's age as 2. So I am thinking you do have to count 2 year olds and just note the age at the time of the reservation.

We always did. Really no reason not to do it. As an aside Tutto Italia actually was the only restaurant we ran into that let my 2 year old order of the kids menu for free (we were on the dining plan). That is not counting the buffets where they can eat off your plate of course.

Every breathing human being must be counted in dining reservations, always. Big or small, it doesnt matter, they must be counted.

1) Absolutely.
2) Eating or not, they still take up space.
3) And, the extra chair might not fit into a table space/area if undercounted.
4) WDW has to be aware of aisle clearances.

2 year old needs to be counted, where would you put the booster or highchair as most times can not be placed at end of table or table next to you will need it moved every time they want to leave their table.

As others have said, everyone needs to be included in the count, even infants.
