A little help will be appreciated. My son and DIL will be going to Disney this April with my two grand kids (without me!) His wife will be 6 months along with their third. They have questions on rides that don't take three across and they will have to use the swap option. Since she won't be able to ride some of the more "violent" rides. Can he ride twice once with each kid. He say the official site says the same parent can't ride twice, but in this case, she won't be able to ride at all. And how does this work on rides that require fast pass, does he take her fastpass to ride with child #2, thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

I would have them make FPs for all of them then have the father use her FP to take the second child as I do not know if rider swap would bs an option as it would be if CM would give it to them

Most likely the CM will have all 4 enter the queue, and if a swap is needed it will be done at the boarding area. Dad rides with child1 while child 2 waits with mom in the boarding area, then Dad rides again with child2 while child1 waits with mom. This is assuming neither child is over age 7, as WDW will allow a 7 yr old to be seated without a parent. They'll just need to ask at each ride that mom won't do, and it may be handled differently at some rides (I've read some reports of allowing the kids to sit together in the row in front of a parent as long as it's the same ride vehicle).

Rides will FP+ will be easy - he can take mom's band and ride the 2nd time using her FP+.

I hope they enjoy their vacation!
