With the child swap, do the CM's make the parent staying behind with the young child wait and ride by themselves after the swap, or can we have one of the older children wait with us so the parent waiting to ride doesn't have to ride alone? We are a family of five, so I was hoping to have two ride, swap, and then the other two ride. Is that doable?

The parent waiting is allowed to ride with two other people, regardless of whether or not they went on with the other parent.
So potentially, daddy and 2 kids could go on while Mommy waits with baby, and then Mommy could go on with the same two kids while Daddy waits with baby.

Oh, that's awesome. Thanks for the info!

Just to add to this, when you go to get in line for the attraction ask the cast member for a child swap pass. You will be given a child swap pass that is good for 3 people to go through the Fast Pass line anytime after the first party rides. So you will not go through the line together and switch after the first group rides, the second group will go through the Fast Pass line.
