Who do you see/notify for "child swap" on FJ? For example, on Test Track you get your pass outside the building from a cast member.

Does everyone in your party enter the attraction together and then splt up at the child swap waiting room?

Also, when the second half of your group goes on the ride, where does the first half wait? Do they exit the attraction and wait outside?

Thanks

We did child swap. You tell the cast members almost at the end of the line - after you have been through the castle. It was right by the seats they have set up to test that people will fit on the ride. They ushered us through different door than the normal loading quee and then the child swap room was right by the ride loading area.

So yes everyone in your party enters the attraction together, proceeds though and enjoys the castle and then splits up at the child swap waiting room. The waiting room had a tv screen with an HP movie playing. The first and second halfs both waited in the room, though I guess the second half could have exited. But it was so busy in HP area in general we may have lost some people if they had left.

If you are doing the child swap, can you bring a stroller and your personal belongings with you through the que to the child swap area, or do you still have to stop and get a locker? Also, how many people do they allow to go through for the swap? Thanks so much =)

I don't think they allow a stroller through the que, but you can bring your bags since they'll stay with whomever is waiting with the child.

No Stroller but yes you can bring the diaper bag and other items instead of putting them into a locker, this saved us lots of time when we rode it.

I just carried everyone's items with me and then after the first group rode I took DD back on with me.

Side note, they will give you a ticket that will only allow you and one other back on the ride. They are very strict about this and do not allow more than you plus that one other. This is the only ride that had that rule when we went. Since we had a larger group, my mom would ride and then watch baby while sister, DH and DD rode with me. Just on FJ did they limit it to just me and DD.

Is the child swap at the end of the line for dueling dragons also? DS6 is hoping to grow 3in in the next few weeks...DD8 is tall enough, but probably not brave enough to ride.
Thanks!

Yes it is.

I love the child swap area in FJ. It was a little warm in there but I think it was just because the ride was so awesome. Watch a little Harry Potter, sit down and rest your feet, and enjoy the anticipation for the awesome ride that is FJ.

When we rode yesterday, a lady desperately needed to use the child swap as a recuperation area. She was quite overcome by FJ and was led off by her family. TM's helped her into the childswap to rest.

I have to say I really like Universals' set up for the child swap area. We used it in FJ (thanks to this board) and at MIB. I wish Disney has something similar. Their child swap "wait at the exit" area is confusing to me.

I guess Universal is more child swap friendly because most of thier rides don't allow small children on, while in Disney there are only a few thrill rides.
