Hi. Just returned from the Dolphin. Great hotel by the way. My 11 month old slept in the crib provided by the hotel and it worked fine. It was not a full size crib. I am just curious what everyone uses when the crib is too small and the child is not ready for an adult bed. Thanks.

We are a family of four and have gone to WDW since each of our girls was 13 months old. On each trip, we've gotten two double beds, brought bedrails (we drive down) and each parent slept with a child. It's worked out really well!

My DS3 fit into a pack & play until about the last 4 months or so...
Since DD was going to be using the P&P, we brought a ready bed (toddler blow up bed) for DS3.

We're taking DBF's niece with us on our upcoming trip, and although she's still in a crib at home she's WAY too big for one of those Pack and Plays (tall for her age). I went to Toys R Us and picked up an "inflatable sleeping bag" for her that I plan to put on the floor between the two beds in the room.

Once our DD6 outgrew the Pack-n-Play, we requested bedrails (2) from Housekeeping. We put one on each side of the other double bed, and the piled extra pillows and the comforter along the bottom. She was completely enclosed, and we had no problems with her falling out.

She moves around a lot when she sleeps, but in a double-bed, she never even got near the edge! There were times that, if we were stopped for a single night at a Hampton Inn or something, we didn't bother with the bedrails and just piled pillows around her. She was fine.

We do have a RediBed that we take if we're in a DVC 1-Bdrm. That way we can put her to bed in the Master and not have to share the King bed with her. If we put her on the pull-out in the living room, we can't use the kitchen or LR while she's sleeping, so the inflatable works better for us and she sleeps in it just fine.

I really have no experience with this as my kids were either in the pack n play or in a regular bed. We never used toddler beds or bedrails at home so they were used to a regular bed at Disney. Dd was moved to the bottom bunk of bunkbeds at 17 months (ds was turning 4 at the time and was on the top). We used a rail for about a month for her and then and took it off.

Disney beds to seem to be high off of the ground. Ds fell off of one at All Star Movies when he was 6 months old - the first time he decided that he could crawl after all - it was the morning he were leaving to come home. I believe Disney will provide rails or if you're driving take some with you.

We just got back Friday and wish I knew they had bedrail because both my boys fell of the bed during the night sleeping. Both of them were fine.

My 3 yr old is an active sleeper and is in a toddler bed at home. I don't feel comfortable with him in an adult bed so we bought a child size inflatable bed with an electric pump. I LOVE this bed. My son calls it his hotel bed and sleeps very comfortably in it. It has "bumper" sides that are raised a couple of inches so he doesn't roll to the floor. It is was relatively inexpensive, lightweight and very easy to travel with. The electric pump makes it trivial to inflate.

I'm very glad I brought it. I also requested bed rails just in case but when I checked in, they didn't have a record of it on my reservation and when I then requested the bed rails be brought to my room, they never arrived.

My dd slept in a travel cot (I assume that is the same as a pack'n'play) at 17 months on a trip and she was too big at that age but managed. After that she either used a readybed or just slept in a big bed. She is now 2.5 and uses a bed rail at home but we don't on holiday in a double. Just plenty of pillows on the floor in case she falls off (which she has done at times with no harm).

We drive so we tossed in our camping inflatable twin bed and sleeping bag. DS loved it. He chose his "spot" in the room and all his toys stayed on his bed in the room.
