Has anyone been able to get a child sized portion of the fried Chicken at 50's PTC?? We are on the dining plan and my youngest DS LOVES fried chicken, would they do this? Maybe a leg or 2?

I don't know if they will or not.

The adult portion is huge-4 pieces of chicken. If one of the adults orders it they could easily give your son a piece.

Yes, that's what I did. Gave my DD the leg. She got the child meatloaf which was pretty small, but very tasty.

Love 50's PTC. Only restaurant we will be repeating on our upcoming trip!

I think sharing from an adult is the only option. Fried Chicken is not an option on the children's menu

If he was dining with me he would get 3 pieces. I only eat the breast.

For those that don't like the dark meat, you can order it all white. That's what I did last week and they brought me 2 huge breast pieces - I couldn't eat all of it and gave my cousin's ds5 half of one of them.

If you're on the dining plan, the children are limited to what's on the children's menu. Have an adult order a plate of chicken and share - they give you a LOT of chicken.

Too funny b/c we have firsthand experience with this same exact situation and they will absolutely do this!!! We have done it twice with both our children- both on the dining plan and off. Just ask them and they are more than happy to oblige. The first time we had asked the waitress if we could get the adult meal and then have them split it and she said that they could do 2 child meals instead of doing that so they get the appetizer (soup or salad) and dessert off the kids menu. The 2nd time (off the dining plan), we just asked if they could do a child portion and he did so without hesitation- same price as the regular kids meals with the appetizers and dessert. Both times it was a drumstick and a thigh. My kids love fried chicken, too, and they don't get it often, so they were psyched!

It's great to hear that they are so accomodating. It can't hurt to ask, right?\

I wanted to mention that there are two chicken options on the children's menu - nuggets & strips. I know it's not the same as fried chicken but they may sound just as appetizing to your children.

RyRysmom thanks!! I am glad that it MAY be an option. I know we could share an Adult portion, but I'd rather use up his TS credit! He will not eat those type of nuggets or anything else on the kids menu....I checked it out. He does however love chicken on the bone:confused3 I will let you know if it works out after our trip in April:lmao:
