I can see why that would be upsetting now--but wait a few years and you'll look back and laugh at that trip as "the one where [granddaughter] made faces."

My DD(13) loves making funny faces and goofing off in pictures. However, tweens and teens are old enough to be reasonable, and it is expected in our household that there is some give and take. She usually responds well to "Let's do a silly one then a smiling one" or the threat of: "OK, I think I'll put that one on Facebook and tag your friends' moms."
