Before doing this last August, I called Disney to confirm (it sounded too good to be true!). Anyway, yes, they did confirm it, and told me to go to any Guest Services place. Guess what? The GS person who helped me tried to get me to pay for the upgrade difference! However, I stood firm on what I had been told on the phone, and eventually someone else came along and they got it straightened out. So, just a warning.
