Child over 17 ?

Do the Universal Hotels charge extra for children over 17 sharing a room with their parents? Where would I find that information?

I know it was dishonest: When booking the RPR last October I told them my daughter was 18. They were going to charge me an extra $25. I didnt book then, I called back later and stretched the truth (lied) and told them she was 17. Nobody questioned her while we were there.

I cant remember how many years my parents kept me "under 18" while vacationing. I was never allowed to go to the counter at check in

I agree with you. My daughter is 17 now, but it's not like she'll be on her own in another year or two. She'll be in college, and family vacations start to become few and far between. As long as they live at home and you're treating them to the vacation, it makes no sense to me.

I guess that was always a question of mine as well. I don't understand why they just don't charge you for the room (of course limiting the number of people) and not the ages of the people in the room. Why charge more? Bigger bodies make more mess?
