Child harness brand suggestions

I personally never used one for my toddler (nothing against them, just didn't use one) but we got the Tag-Alongs, which were wonderful! They are a bit like a handle for the stroller.

My 2 yo never wanted to hold my hand but would gladly hold these! 10$ for 2 and they just attach to your stroller so you don't have to carry anything extra. I will never go to WDW without one again!

They have animal backpack harnesses on Zulily.com today under Out & About: Infant Gear and Accessories starting at 8.99!!!

I thought the animal (especially the monkey) backpack harnesses were cute. But I was pretty sure my 20 month old wouldn't wear it. I wasn't even sure how any harness would go with him, so I bought a cheap one at a Buy Buy Baby. I think the brand was Baby Buddy and I got it for under $10.

It's pretty basic, just straps. We could clip and in lip the tether, so he was able to wear the harness all day without any overheating (our trip was end of May to early June) or discomfort. It worked well for us and we used the tether several times.

Our escape artist managed to unhook the buckle on the stroller and climb out, so the harness was a huge help. We tried it out at home to get him used to it and it didn't seem to bother him. It kept him safe and didn't hurt him, so my concerns were eased.

Have a wonderful trip with your toddler, my son loved it!

Just a note about the cute animal backpack harness.

By the time my very active son was 2.5 he could unbuckle it. At 2.5 your child could easily go in a stroller. I would hate to have had it on him in WDW when he "figured out" how to unbuckle it.

Hi! Just used the monkey pack we purchased 6 years ago (for his big sis) on DS2 for the first time today while picking up my daughters from school. It was working out great until he figured out he was on a leash, LOL! He threw some tantrums and tried to make a break for it a few times, but after ten minutes of flopping on the ground and yelling he decided he was done fighting it and just went on his merry way, just not too far from me :D

I think it will work out fine for WDW!

Just wanted to say that I used to be 'against' them, when I had one DD who did everything I asked of her, clearly due to my superior parenting... ;-). Then came DD2. Suffice it to say, my 'superior' parenting hasn't worked as we'll, I guess. The girl has NO impulse control at all.

Do what you need to do. Anyone who has walked in your shoes will understand. :-)
