Child Dining Plan

Can an adult credit on the DDP be used for a child at table service meals? I know kids are required to order from the kid's menu and an adult cannot use a child entitlement, but what about the other way around? The way our plan is working out is leaving us short a few child and positive a few adult meals...

I'm fairly sure they wouldn't care if you used an adult credit on a child meal, because that is big profit for Disney, and a very poor value for you if you're paying for the Dining Plan!
