Please call the kids' club and ask about the age limit. I don't know if it is a hard-and-set rule or just some sort of guideline.
I have used various WDW kids' clubs, and also Disney's in-room babysitting services, quite a few times over the years. None of my children (or my niece or nephew) have ever had any bad experiences.
I wrote about my daughter's recent BC Sandcastle Club experience in my trip report --
click here for comments regarding Sandcastle Club (look for the thread on that page entitled, "Beach Club Villas Day Two, Part 2"). I also wrote a little more about the Sandcastle Club on the next page of that trip report (there is no title for that thread but it is toward the bottom of that page). My daughter stayed there twice and had a great time each visit.
