Chiggers

Chiggers would not come from the pool area. I have had a case of them that infested my whole lower body with over 350 bites, etc....so I did a lot of research.

Where did you get them (what type of environment)?

In this instance, covered almost head to toe, it almost sounds like a reaction to the high chlorine content from the pool water, or if the OP had been to the beach, a bad case of sea lice or sand fleas! Bed bugs also a possibility. Welts or bites on some of these present later than when the actual contact is made, and acutally get worse a couple of days later (sea lice).

I can't imagine no-see-ums covering 90% of the body.

I am in law enforcement and we were on a very remote shoreline with a grounded vessel. Believe it or not I only hit hte brushline for about a couple of seconds. We knew they were there, but didn't realize how bad it was in that are. My efforts became compounded with a home remedy that also made them "move" and not die...which meant multiple bites from the same one...would have been bettr to let it run its course and treat symptoms. Doctors were shocked (and a little scared)...it was truly awful.

Bathed last night insalt water and woke up this morning with only red dots
Disney manager and paramedics came after i called
Them from the room when I came up from the
Umbrella area of the quiet pool which is landscaped
Pool cm may have disturbed them as he was hosing these areas

Grew up in a rural area so have experience with chiggers and never have ever heard of them being near pools.

Just as a precaution have you checked your beds for bed bugs.

Calamine lotion is the best for bites.

If you get a little oozing of clear pus from the bite, it may be from a biting fly. I had scores of them in early June when I was sitting out on the porch at OKW. And I never felt them bite.

These are not really chiggers than. Many people will call things chiggers which are not. A chigger bite will swell and puss for several days before it begins to heal. Most likely this is some other type of insect that they just call a chigger to lump all together.

My husband got a terrible case of chiggers a few years ago and ended up getting secondary infection because he scratched so much. After try everything and murine prescriptions we got sulfer powder ( it smells like rotten eggs) but it was like a miracle and itch went right away

I hope you feel better! We were also at the BWV quiet pool from the 9th-16th...with an umbrella table. The only thing that bothered us were squirrels for two days lol!! I did see someone spraying what I'm assuming was pesticides by all of the bushes in between the tables and by the 1st floor patios one day. Have a great rest of your trip!!
