I slept well last night for the first time in a few weeks but I'm still sleepy. I can't figure it out. I'm ready for another weekend.

Even though Ike is heading to Texas tonight we are experiencing Tropical Storm winds and rain today. Those wind gusts are quite scary. Should make for an interesting day today.

Well folks the weekend is almost here. I think I'll be having a wet and soggy one so you guys have fun in the sun for me. Anyone have big plans?

No big plans this weekend. I have things to do at home and I need to start thinking about the trip I've got coming up in a couple weeks. I need to make a list and maybe do a bit of shopping.

No big plans other then I should be doing alot of cleaning.

My brother is in Houston. They closed all the schools today.
As of last night he's expecting to get heavy winds and rains. They live far enough away from the coast.

Good morning

My brother did well. He doesn't live in the eye of the storm but the winds were very strong. He just lost a fence, Few neighbors had water and tree damage. he lost his power at 10 p.m. so I can't picture what it must have been like later on and in the neighborhoods that really got hit.

I'm glad that people seem to have weathered the storm fairly well. Everyone I've talked to anyway.

I'm going on a Canada/New England Cruise in two weeks! It's come quick. I'd have a ticker but you know, I'm still in time out.

Susan the cruise sound like so much fun. Are you going with people from work, your parents or just with friends?

How long do you have to sit in the corner for? Your time out seems too long if you ask me.

I'm going with my parents and my mom's best friend. We are going to start in New York, spend one day there and then we sail north to Boston, Bar Harbor, Newport, Halifax and St. John. It should be gorgeous if the weather is good.

This will be my 4th cruise. I love it.

As for my time out, it expires Nov. 2009. Ouch.

I was just saying this on another thread that we don't really see the leaves change around here. It just goes from hot to a little cool and the leaves just drop off. No pretty color changing here. That cruise does sound awesome. Take lots of pictures!

Good morning! It's cold and foggy here today. I'm thinking it should clear up. It's starting to feel a bit like Fall around here. I woke up at normal time this morning only to find it a lot darker than normal. I love this time of year!
