Chicken & Ribs Combo + now available in DHS?!?!

I was just reading the menu for Fairfax Fare when trying to see if there is a counter service possibility in DHS (which I've generally held out little hope for)... I saw three interesting combo options (which would probably be good options especially for those on the DDP):

Chicken and Ribs - served with baked beans and coleslaw $13.99

Ribs and Beef Brisket - served with baked beans and coleslaw $13.99

Chicken and Beef Brisket - served with baked beans and coleslaw $13.49

I saw the menu was just updated this month, so this could be new. Has anyone tried these items? I know Chicken and Ribs at Cosmic Ray's in MK has typically been a great option for sharing or using a CS credit for on the DDP... thought this would be a neat place to try.

So anyone have any opinions on these menu items?

And does anyone know if this is just a seasonal menu or if this is more of a permanent change?

Is this the new Fairfax Fries?

DHS: My Fave CS for DHS (And I've TRIED to tell folks) is SUNSET MARKET...right near ToT and RnR...is Sunset Market which is an outdoor market type setting with MANY GREAT CS Choices. Fairfax Fries is near there.... and if they are adding entree's then that makes SUNSET MARKET even better..... (Of course - NOT if it's raining).

Cosmic Ray's / MK: is my FAVORITE CS in MK....and I LOVE The chicken/ribs/mashed potatoes/green beans/carrot (or choc ) cake combo....SUCH a wonderful value...


So if what you are saying is what I THINK you are saying...then this is a WONDERFUL Addition to CS at DHS....

Make that instead of coleslaw! I do not like coleslaw , but I think I would like everything else on the plate.

BTW Studio Catering Company does a chicken, rice, and black beans and I think it is pretty good.

We get chicken and ribs all the time at CR. Most of the time they are very good. Every once on awhile it's not.

We tried this in November, it was just ok, Flame Tree is way better, but then again it was nice to have more options at DHS.

We were there last month and we split a hot dog...I can tell you the line was insane, took 20 minutes to get to the order window with 3 registers open and 3 people in each line...service is very slow.

The portions looked very large but they ran out of beans and told the customers it would be a while before more would be delivered so they gave people carrots or extra cole slaw.

I wish we were hungrier as I would have loved to try the brisket

Had the chicken and brisket two weeks ago and thought it was great. DS seems to be improving its QS options. We also liked the Backlot Express.


eta: The chicken was good but kinda dry, but packets of BBQ sauce are available at the utensil island.

I wish they'd offer more choice with the sides, but the drive toward efficiencies brought on by the DPs and economics in general will continue to limit such choices. Disclosure: just used a DP for the first time, specifically the QSP, and thought it was great for our short trip.

Right across from the F! and B&tB entrances. It's to the right of the Sunshine Seasons area to the forefront of Catalina Eddies and Rosies. Kinda on that left corner of Sunset as you barrel toward RnR. Well, at least I barrel toward RnR.

Interseting, we may try it but I'm just not sure I want to give any CS location at DS a shot anymore. We have tried all the rest and I'd rather eat the bottom of my shoe. We may have to go by and take a peak and see what its like on our next trip.
