I'm looking for the recipe for chicken pillows, I lost mine and I havent made them in a while. Thanks

Ok, I have to ask...what are chicken pillows? I will admit when I saw the thread subject I thought it had to do with sewing! :confused3

This is the one I use. I got it off www.culinary.com.
3 oz. cream cheese
3 tbsp. margarine
2 c. cooked chicken
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. onions ( I just sprinkle in some onion powder)
1- 8 oz. can of crescent rolls
3/4 c. seasoned croutons, crushed or seasoned bread crumbs

Blend cream cheese and 2 tbsp. margarine. Save 1 tbsp. margarine. Add chicken, salt pepper, milk and onions; mix. Separate dough into 4 rectangles; press perforations to seal. Place 1/2 c. of mixture in center of each. Bring all 4 corners to center and seal edges. Brush tops with margarine and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet.

After a few frustrating times, I now bring the edge of one side of the crescent roll over to the other and make a rectangle. It was easier to seal them. I've also tried using phyllo dough instead of the crescent rolls but my family didn't care for them that way.

I thought the same thing...along with several very comical visual images. :rotfl: I did know there was a recipe for them though - just not something I make. ;)

Oh those sound very good!!!!!

I thought the same thing about the pillows too - I'm like are people making pillows with chicken feathers??? ROFL

Yes you know how *hard* it is to get the chickens to stand still long enough to Pluck them correctly??? Ive gone through DOZENS of chickens and I have yet to make enough for a pillow...

Okay okay- that recipe sounds like something we make but the name is just silly... Course at our house they are called Becky things... (after Becky who introduced them to us... Course most of our meals are oddly called after who introduced them... WE have Bonnie things, and Aunt Darlene Potatoes, Randy's Salad just to name a few...)

I thought of chicken shaped pillows, you know, the decorative kind. I was glad to see it was a recipe! :rotfl:

It does sound silly, now I'm laughing. I needed a good laugh. That recipe sounds pretty close to the one I used and I remember I had a hard time filling the crescent rolls and getting them to stay closed. My kids love those chicken pillows!

Hi, Just made the Chicken Pillows for supper. Everyone loved  them.I wish they made more though. I had to carefully flip mine near the end of time, to brown the bottoms.

My mom used to make these all the time. We called it "Crescent Chicken"

It's soooo yummy! :goodvibes

I had forgotten about them - I'll have to make them for my family now! Thanks for the recipe - it sounds just like Mom's!

Laurie :)
