Chicken fingers

Not sure how long this thread will last on this page, but I know that a lot of you visit the parks before and after a cruise.

WDW has decided to stop service chicken fingers/strips for the adult quick service meals and are now serving the chicken nuggets (the same ones the kids get)

They taste like garbage and I know how the strips get such a big following on the ship.

We need to email WDW en mass to get them to change back to the strips.

Just thought you'ld like to know!!!!

I personally am affected by this because my OCD father will only eat chicken strips and french fries. lmao: Literally. We went to Friday's for dinner tonight and that's what he ordered.)

I called WDW to complain about the switch to the nuggets from the chicken tenders. I told the rep. that a lot of people are not happy about the switch and please don't treat us like kids and serve us chicken nuggets.

She doesn't know why WDW switched, but gave me an email address that we can complain to. I think everyone needs to send a quick email demanding they stop treating us like toddlers and bring back the chicken strips.

If enough of us email them, maybe they will actually consider it..

I am sure that this is another cost saving measure by disney. I have noticed the quality of quick service meals especially at MK going downhill. I know that the heads of each park are responsible for their bottom lines but I don't know if each park get's their supplies separately or if the entire resort contracts with supplier. IT could be that the chicken supplier couldn't get the strips anymore or that they have become too expensive and they didnt want to raise food prices. so instead they offer sub quality food and serve smaller portions for the same price. just think if your food bill has skyrocketed, how much disney's has.

I sent the following e-mail:

As a frequent Disney World Resort Guest, Disney Vacation Club Member, repeat Disney Cruise Line cruiser, and Disney Stock Holder, I am quite disappointed (and frankly, disgruntled) that the decision has been made to remove chicken fingers/strips from the quick service menus from the parks. When eating in the parks, the only thing I order is the chicken fingers/strips and a trip to Magic Kingdom is not complete without a stop at Cosmic Rays to get said chicken fingers/strips.

I, as well as many other repeat guests, am truly disenchanted by this change in the menus. Every time I go to Walt Disney World, I look forward to the chicken fingers/strips. Please do not take them off the menu and make me go hungry through the parks.

If the Walt Disney Company is truly committed to the Year of One Million Dreams, please make my dream come true and do not take the chicken fingers/strips off the menu.

Boy, I can't believe they are still getting this wrong! What is Disney's problem with chicken strips?

Anyway, we just got back from SSR, OKW and a DCL. There were chicken strips in all locations.

The Chicken strips are even gone from Columbia Harbor House.

My favorite was the fish and chicken strip combo.

We just got chicken strips at Saratoga Springs last Saturday at the Artist Palette. The kids menu had the nuggets and the adult menu had the strips. Our 11 year old loves the strips so we got him the strips in place of the nuggets in the kids meal. They had to check with the manager to see if we could do this and still pay the kids meal price. It was not a problem. We even said they could just give us one strip but they gave us 3!

I guess maybe just some of the restaurants are getting rid of the strips????

We just had chicken strips last Saturday at OKW, and they'd been taken off the menu less than 18 months ago --- to much complaining.

Really? Maybe I'm just trying different venues, but I've been pleased.

At any rate, getting back to a related topic... I went to Cosmic Rays over the holiday season, and got a burger and fries. I was expecting the usual crappy fries, but I cannot tell you how ECSTATIC I was when I tasted the fries, and they were the same kind as from Pluto's Doghouse on Deck 9!

I LOOOOVE those fries... my friend and I would get a basket (or two) of just fries every afternoon... yummmmmm... And now I can get them here!

The menus have been changed at Epcot and MGM. They now say nuggets. My father went to the American Adventure and ordered strips. They gave him nuggets. He told them he ordered the adult strips basket, they told them they converted all the strips to nuggets. This just happened about 10 days ago....

Strange! I asked my friend who just returned yesterday and she said that she never noticed the menu change. She said that everything she remembered said Chicken Fingers.

I hope they go back to Fingers!!!!

When we ate at Cosmic Ray's this past November the chicken nuggets in the kids meal were fantastic. Real chunks of breaded chicken. Not those fake nuggets other places were serving. We were hoping this had spread to the other restaurants but alas they had still had the fake ones.

I would be fine if they got rid of the chicken strips as long as they replaced all of the nuggets with the ones from Cosmic Ray's.
