Darn it! There goes my chance to come to the meet

We had horrible storms last night and power went out around 7:30. That means the sump pump wouldn't work (I knew I should have gone with a battery backup!) By the time power came back on this morning, I have six inches of standing water in my fully finished basement. I'll be doing cleanup and repair for at least two weeks.

Next time for sure, I'm there - I want a full report of all the fun and frivolity!

I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be coming - but even more sorry about your misfortune. The news reports out of Iowa and other places with flooding are just heart breaking. We had those powerful storms late last night but nowhere near as bad as by you. I hope to see you the next time though!

Hi Everyone!

I'm so sorry if I haven't personally responded to your PMs and emails. I'm not AWOL! I'm at a convention in Chicago until Saturday...and I'm EXHAUSTED! But rest assured - everything is falling into place! The DVC store has been in contact with me almost every other day. They may be more excited than we are!

The control freak in me has come to accept that I will probably not have a true final count until everyone is standing in front of me! (A lot of maybes and mind changing- but that's ok!) I currently have 34 confirmed - and a few more maybes - isn't that great?!

Just to make sure everyone is on the same page- due to the restaurant not opening until 3pm, we had to sort of adjust the meet time.

The Disney Doorway to Dreams store is expecting us at 1pm. So be there or be talked about! If you want to shop at the Disney Store, there should be plenty of time after the DVC tour and before Ginos. We can go over there as a group or trickle over and re meet at Gino's at 3. Some of you have said that you will not be joining for the Gino's portion - that's fine. It's all about meeting, right?

So to recap:
SUNDAY June 22
1PM - Doorway to Dreams Store, Woodfield Mall, Disney fun and frivolity
Disney Store Shopping, if desired
3PM - Gino's East, Algonquin and Golf rds, Rolling Meadows IL
I will be in my new Podcast t-shirt from the airing of my voicemail!
Don't forget to bring your pins for trading with the cast members!

I can't guarantee that I will be checking in again before Sunday so if you have questions or need directions, I'm sure someone here will be able to answer them!

And I almost forgot...

I had asked you all a question about whether you'd rather order off the menu or do a party plan. The responses were mixed. I don't know if we can do some one way and some the other way. I also don't know id the children's price is the same. And they still haven't said whether or not we'll be in a party room or amongst the other diners. So I guess we'll just have to go with the flow!

My kids are really excited about it, I'm looking forward to it, my wife is hesitant, and my sister-in-law (who is not attending) thinks we are psycho!! She literally told my wife, "There must be something wrong with your husband". LOL
