Chicago Residents, I need the best place to get food.

I will be visit Chicago this summer for my aunt's wedding, and on thursday I am going to a Cubs game but on friday I just want the greatest meal possible. My only mode of transportation is wherever the L goes and and my feet, but I don't mind walking a few miles if the food is that good. I know the food network always has specials of certain cities but I haven't seen it for a while. Basically I want either the best pizza or sandwich or burger or whatever artery clogging food you Chicago folk love; preferably in downtown (something to do afterwards). So please help me make my day awesome, give me the best places to get food in Chicago.

I will be Chicago from June 28th - July 1st, I will be staying with my family who lives there, right off the Cumberland exit on the L.

Well, the Taste of Chicago starts on Friday, June 30th!!! It might be a lot more costly (and very, very crowded), but you can try food from all the best places this way.

I was also going to suggest Carson's for ribs. There are several in the Chicago area.

There are several good pizza places, Pizzeria Uno, Pizzeria Duo and Gino's East come to mind.

The other thing I can think of, if you need a tasty snack, is Garrett's Popcorn. There are several in the downtown area.
