Has anyone parked in the main garage at Chicago Midway? We normally do a limo to the airport but the prices have gone up and I think it would be cheaper to park on our own. We definitely want the main garage, which is floors 4, 5 & 6 I've read. Does anyone know if there is a bridge to cross on each floor, or which floor that may be on? Have you ever seen the whole garage filled too? We're flying out on a Sat early in Aug, so I wouldn't think it would be filled. Also, any helpful driving tips from I-55 would be great. Thanks!

I've left my car there for a long weekend, but I used the economy lot and took the shuttle. It's an indoor garage and I felt comfortable leaving my car. I may be wrong, but I think the main lot will cost you more than taking a limo.

Well, its good to know there are other lot options too..I priced it out and being gone for a week, the limo actually is either the same or slightly more expensive from where we live, depending on if we do shared ride or not, which we don't want to do. So, I think we may end up just parking. Thanks for the info.

Hi Minnie 824 - here is some info that may help...

The Main garage @ Midway will cost you $28/day!

The Economy garage @ Midway (not attached to airport) will cost you $14/day!

The Economy garage does provide frequent shuttle service and has the covered garage parking. It's just about a 10 minute shuttle ride away from the terminal.

The main garage DOES fill up from time-to-time - but it's normally during the week and early in the AM due to the frequent business travel here.

Good luck! And have a GREAT VACATION! Hopefully y'all are flying on Southwest - that's who I work for!

We always park in the economy garage - it's so, so wonderful not to arrive home and have to scrape all the snow off your car, LOL. I've never seen it anywhere near filled. The economy garage has the shuttles the drop off right at the entrance to the elevators. You're very protected from the elements and it's a quick trip. The addition of that garage has really made a big difference in travel out of Midway, IMO.

We do park in the terminal garage when we're dropping off/picking up, but I think the longest I've left a car there is 24 hours - since it's twice as much. Every time, we've parked there, we've been on the level that basically walks right out from the baggage claim area. I've never had a problem finding a spot.

Hi, I know you said you wanted to park at the airport but I wanted to let you know about awesome off site parking which is about 1 or 2 miles away. It is parkrideflyusa.com/mdw-chicago-midway-airport-parking (I cannot link since I only have 3 posts) . The cost is $8.75 per day for outdoor parking and $10.75 for indoor parking. I have used them many times and they are great. When you arrive they pick you up at your car and shuttle you to the airport and drop you off in front of your airlines door. When you return to Chicago you call them and they usually arrive within 10 minutes to pick you up and drop you right at your car. Right now they have a 10% off coupon on their homepage. Just wanted to give you an alternative. Have a great trip! :goodvibes
