Chicago Hotel Help, Hotel 71??

Yes, it's me asking more Chicago questions again. The trip is not until January, so I'm sure I'm not done yet.

Since we have our Wicked tickets, and our plane tickets, I need a hotel now. We will be seeing Wicked at the Ford theater, so I would like to be very close to that (especially since it's January). I am looking at the Hotel 71, does anyone know anything about it, or have you stayed there???

Other possibilities are the new Hampton Inn at the Lasalle Theater (which is not open yet) or the Hotel Allegro (which I read has small rooms). Can anyone help me out?

Also, looking for a good place, nearby, for a birthday lunch or dinner for my dd 10. We are not real fancy, pretty basic eaters.

Not heard of it, but looked it up on trip advisor and it looks pretty cool. Great location--right on the river!

You have to try Chicago Pizza. I loved Gino's East. They have several locations downtown.

Thank you! Pizza, yum!!! However, strange girl that she is, she doesn't like pizza. Maybe they have pasta on the menu? I know, it's wierd. She must get it from my dad, he hates pizza.

Anyone else know of this hotel?
