There is so much to do in Chicago - here's a start
1. Chicago has a City Pass for the main attractions. You can save big bucks over pricing separately. Here is the link

2. Chiago has a "Greeter" program. Here is the link
http://chicagogreeter.com/index.html.
3. The city is running some summer specials on hotels. Here is the link
www.choosechicago.com
4. You want to choose a hotel in the "magnificent mile" or "gold coast" or navy pier area. There is a free shuttle that runs all around the downtown area daily. You should be able to get to most tourist places using this. One hotel in that area that I have stayed in is the Wyndam. It was nice and I got a great rate on hotels.com. I think that either Hyatt or Hilton is running a summer deal, but I can't remember for sure. Both have hotels in Chicago, but one of them is a little further towards the loop. There is a Marriott right on Michigan Ave. There is also a "W" close by. I'm sure the toursim folks can give you a better picture.
5. The Lincoln Park Zoo is FREE
6. The Sears tower is taller, but the Hancock has a better sky deck. Also, the resturant at the top of the Hancock used to have a good lunch buffet for around $12. Good food great view
7. The entertainment book has coupons for the trolly, skydeck and some of the boat tours - maybe you have a local friend...?
8. See the city from the lake. It is a awsome sight. Tours leave from either Navy Pier or the foot of the Michigan Ave. bridge.
I could go on and on, but I won't. If you wany ANY additional information just email me at
