Yeah, I keep telling myself that even the best teams will lose 60-65 games, but getting swept by the Pirates sucks.

Pirate's steal stuff, lol...took the W's.
I wish I could blame it on that but they outplayed us plain and simple. Here..this will bring back better memories

Sorry, I misunderstood the post I replied to. Yes, they certainly had a good record from start to finish. But I definitely remember that quite a few losses were due to bullpen struggles. And this was confirmed when Maddon basically stopped using just about everybody except Montgomery, Chapman, Edwards, and occasionally, Rondon. Everyone else was used in situations that the Cubs were already behind and likely going to use.

Well they outplayed our bullpen, that is for sure.

I have to give credit to the Pirate's pitching..you can't win games without runs on the board and other than Saturday~ we just didn't get it done. We have always joked that the opposing team just waits to play the last 3 innings
In other news,in Iowa, Ian Happ being groomed to play 3rd as well as outfield..and I am happy to hear it because I really want to keep the guy and need a place to put him! Shortstop is kiiiiiiiinda taken by Addie, lol... but 3rd~ that gives LaStella something to think about .

Teams who have been suffering bullpen meltdowns: Seatle-Miami-Toronto-Cubs-Rangers...we are not the only ones but lets adjust up..k? K

If planning to DVR the game,(so you can watch Rossy dance ) CSN(regular) will be interrupting at 8 for the Blackhawks. However, CSNPH will be showing the full Cubs game~ at least in Chicagoland. Check your local listings.

Yikes. I was pretty cocky coming into the season thinking that an NLCS appearance was in the bag. This ain't the same team folks. Really disappointed so far.

Happy to hear they are now pumping the crowd into the bullpen,. Some bummer moments, some exciting one's and Len and JD were killing it tonight, lol. Lackey not his best. I have to be grateful to STL for beating the Pirate's tonight so standings still the same.

yeah...turn the page boys. They are right on the verge of busting things wide open, but ironically I am not feeling that from Bryzzo...it's the rest of the team.

The way I'm looking at it is they were under .500 during that 2 to 3 week stretch just before the All Star break (I mean for the actual games during that stretch, not overall) and this year they're just having that bad stretch at the beginning of the season.

Hammel and Wood over on KC struggling (Soler was on the DL) some too.Rossy even scored low on his dance tonight too.. the 2016 team was truly one of destiny. United we stand, divided we....drop under .500. That said~lets go, one game at a time, boys, one game at a time

career year is one thing, but .115 as lead-off is very unexpected. Yo, he has the Heyward's, lol...LAST years offensive Heyward. Dex will never have JHey's cannon arm shooting it in at 95+ mph. I would never say never...baseball , will laugh at you every time if you do so I shouldn't say that about Dex's arm Very strange start for so many teams. Cleveland has to be shell shocked too.
